Adders were first on the offensive and had claims for a penalty in the second minute when Bogglid fell in the six yard box. Boal was then one on one with the 'keeper but he scuffed his shot wide. Adders best chance fell to Boal again in the 15th minute after a fine run down the left by Bahrey but again his shot was off target. A Sockett 20yd shot straight at Gwilliams in the 24th minute and a Boal header just wide in the 34th minute were Adders other chances. The home side came into things in the last ten minutes with Borrey and Wills both testing Hathaway with long range efforts.
Half Time: 0-0
Adders were again left disappointed in the 48th minute when Bahrey fell in the area after a fine left wing run. The same player forced Gwilliams to a fine save in the 49th minute after a defence splitting pass by Boal. Bahrey again should have done better with a weak shot from 20yds when left unmarked in the 65th minute. Adders best chance came from a 71st minute corner but Chapman saw his firm header cleared off the line. The home side had yet to have a clear chance but Wright forced Hathaway to a brilliant save to tip a 25yd free kick around the post in the 78th minute. Substitutes Mewies and Kirchoff-Sleet both had clear chances in injury time to win it for the Adders but both shot well wide.
A useful point for the Adders in a match played on a bobbly which did not help the quality of passing. Lots of half chances mostly for the Adders but a fine Hathaway save towards the end secured a well deserved draw.
